Mr. Tarvin is a highly respected executive with 30 years’ experience in the direct-to-consumer industry. Most recently, he served as chief executive officer of FullBeauty Brands, a Webster portfolio company, from 2013 to mid-2017. Prior to FullBeauty Brands, Paul was group president of Home for Cornerstone Brands (a division of HSNI, a Nasdaq public company) where he oversaw the strategic direction of Cornerstone’s five home brands. Mr. Tarvin was also previously the chief executive officer of Cinmar, a company he founded in 1991, and founder of Frontgate and Grandin Road, companies that he ultimately built into leading brands in luxury lifestyle for the home, achieving $500 million in revenue.
In 1995, Cornerstone acquired Cinmar and Mr. Tarvin became executive vice president for the parent company. During this time, he played a pivotal role in the business and acquisition strategy for Cornerstone leading to the addition of six top lifestyle brands including Ballard Designs, Garnet Hill, TravelSmith and Improvements which, combined with the business he founded, generated over $1 billion in sales.
Mr. Tarvin began his career with Sportsman Market Inc., a multi-title direct marketer of aviator supplies and aviation educational material where he advanced to vice president of merchandising and marketing for all divisions prior to leaving the company in 1991 to launch Cinmar.
He has served on numerous private and public company boards. Mr. Tarvin previously served on the boards of two Webster portfolio companies, Sundance Catalog and FullBeauty Brands and currently serves on the board for RIO Brands.
